Setting: Driving home from dinner
On Steph’s last night here I took to out to dinner at the Mellow Mushroom (a thoroughly enjoyable place to eat that I would recommend to anyone. On the way home, after driving for quite a while on 408, a road I’m fairly familiar with, I start to realize that things don’t look all that familiar, and I don’t recognize some of the street names on the exits we’re passing.
Me: Uh, where are we?

Me: No, this doesn’t look right. What road are we on??
Steph while laughing: Oh, Amy!

A few things…
1. I am so glad you came over last week and don’t worry about getting lost!
2. My friends and I stayed in Dayton a few years ago. The hotel, which we had previously booked, was a little shady. Well after our very fun night of girl time we went to check out. We were questioned by the hotel owner and the police. It seems that the man who checked in had stolen our $ we had paid with and the $$ of several other guests. CRAZY Daytona!
I can empathize – I’ve done some of the same things too!! I pay better attention now, but still get lost more than I’d like.
very funny! I am not allowed (by Ande) to talk on my cell phone on the way to the airport b/c of the many many times I have missed the exit, called him crying and lost, paid DOUBLE the necessary toll money, and been very very late to pick up a friend. It happens to the best of us.
this reminds me of camp kulaqua….
It reminds me of Mid-Winter. I remember being told that if we didn’t let you get lost, we’d get something special. So, with the four of us in the car, you didn’t get lost. We got something special. I think we should be in the car with you more often.
